Pete posted a good one, but I can't remember which thread it was and he hasn't entered it yet anyway.

Re: 2011 - Women and Atoms category.
My wife...
I've always wanted an Atom but because they are manual and i couldn't drive them i never really looked into them as it would have dissapointed me.
Then i found the duck clutch conversion..And i started to think if i could have a manaul car what would it be.. The Atom sprung to mind ;D
So i showed my wife some Atom photos on the pistonheads classifieds after showing her the clutch a few days earlier.
Her reply was 'why don't you ring the factory and see if they can fit it for you?'. Why? i asked. 'Well your going to end up buying one so you may as well get on with it'
Excellent, she just made my mind up for me. 3 days later i was sat in an Atom at the factory talking through my requirements and on the journey home sealed the deal on one they had in the showroom.
But she won't get in it with me. 'its your toy' she says.
I do love her. (not just because of the above but it does help)

Well we share something in the opinions of our women. I think in my 4+ years of ownership the other half has been in the Atom less times than the fingers on one hand.

Yes, my wife's been in the car about five times. Although after a year of ownership I did persuade her to drive it the other day. Not as difficult as she thought it would be, was her verdict.

"Excuse me sir, just how fast do you think the limit is here?"
"No idea officer, but the names Bond.....James Bond"
"Well Mr Bond, I'm glad to see you've changed that crap Aston Martin for something decent at last. If you'd just like to step out of the car......."
