Hi,

It's a prototype that Carol and I made one weekend about 5 yrs ago for the last car. There are several things we would change but the basic principle is sound and Castle Combe proved it works. Basically, it was our first attempt and the first time either of us had used a sewing machine.

We appreciate the positive comments received at Atomic Mass along with the requests to produce copies. We're just not sure we have the required skills to produce several of a sufficient quality that we would be happy offering to others. Could really do with some professional input in key areas such as the stitching and particularly the mirror pockets, which we've never been happy with.

Stu,

I know a few professional classic car upholsterers, they would be interested Im sure in doing one to prove the concept if you willing to share the learning..

I went to a sail maker last Tuesday and they were saying that if they had a template it would be easier also the cost depending on what material you wish to use and how much material, it didn't sound like it was going to be cheep, at least £130.
but once the first one was made it would bring the cost down.

Stu would you be prepared to send me your cover to use as a template?

george.

Just had a smaller car cover made by a local sailmaker, for those times when the full cove is just to much. it all fit into a small bag which fits behind the seats( well on my car any way).

If any one wants one they can be made in a minimum batch of 3 at £145 each. plus P&P.

they are well made. holes for the wing mirrors and slits with telco for the lights.

see attached pics.

it comes in its own flat bag which will slide down behind the seats, how ever if you place the cover into a smaller bag it fits into the front bonnet cubbie hole.

Looks interesting. Could it accommodate a rear roll bar in it's standard guise?
