low pressure with low amps usually suggests wiring. checking earth first the way you suggest is good. fingers crossed

That fuel pump fuse feeds power to the Fuel Pump relay which is one of 4 relays inside a black box mounted beside the ECU.

The box just lifts off ..
Check the connections - try removing the 2 plugs and reseating several times.

It's possible the relay inside has damaged/burnt contacts - it doesn't take much resistance at 20 amps to cause issues ..

Credit to Tom's Seven whose web site has moved - took some finding !

This is the Fuel Pump relay diagram - may be slightly different ..

Note that there are 2 fuses in the Atom fuse box ..

Thanks for the info, I will try it as soon as possible.
Unfortunatelly my electrical knowledge isnt what it should be...

Do I check if the intertia switch is closed?

The relay box is off an MGF, and probably a load of other Rover cars if you are looking for a replacement.

I think I may have a spare one in the garage if you want to borrow it for testing.

I have cleaned and mounted/unmounted the connectors to the fuel pump relay several times. I have also cleaned the 2 fuses for the fuel pump.
But still ending upp with the same data as Before...
I have connected a cable from the - pool on the battery to the black wire that "I thin" goes to the fuel pump, but nothing happens. I have tried the same with the + pool on the battery to the Purple and White, but nothing happens.

If you think it could be the relay box, I would appreciate if you could send it to me for testing purpose. Rovers are not very common here in Sweden.. :(

Or is there anything else I could try, could it be something else?

I think I have found one, is it YWB100970?
This comes from a Landrover Freelander -99

I have bought it and will test it in a few hours.

Don't think we have an inertia switch ...

I've not tried but presumably the relay box comes apart and you could just swap over the fuel pump relay ...

Nope, it is a PCB inside with multiple relays

It doesn't mather, ill soon have an other box to test with, I hope they are the same inside.

What you can do if you open the box is manually close each relay using an INSULATED screwdriver.  I stress the insulated part as the starter relay is also in there and takes a lot of amps.

This can not be necessary if I change the complete relay box?
