Welcome to the Silverstone Classic, 2020
Thank you for registering for the Silverstone Classic, 2020. We are delighted to confirm that
your application has been accepted and your members can now access the fantastic Car
Club Display Package (two adult admission tickets and an infield car display pass). We look
forward to welcoming you to the event.
Your club’s dedicated code is 2020CCD069.
Please let your members know that they need
to enter this code and their car details when prompted to do so at:
https://www.silverstoneclassic.com/buycarclubtickets. To support you in promoting this
code, we have created an advert for your club magazine into which your club code will be
displayed. Please find the advert attached – do let us know if you require an alternative
file size or format. If your club doesn’t have a magazine, but you have online
opportunities, please let us know.
We have also included the Car Club Handbook for your reference and would like to highlight
a couple of the key points as follows:
Important Dates
Super Early Bird Car Club Display Packages will be available from Friday 25 October until
midnight on 31 December. From 1 January the usual Early Bird period will be in place until
31 March after which the Standard price applies. Car Club Display Package sales will end on
31 May, allowing us to plan the infield and finalise all car club display locations in good time
before the event.
Car Club Display Area
You will be advised of your designated display area at the end of June when the Car Club
Team has had the opportunity to position the clubs according to the numbers of cars booked,
power requirements and structures being erected. Please note that clubs are not guaranteed
to be in the same position as previous years as we like to offer our spectators variation each
year.
If you are looking to undertake any commercial activity at the Silverstone Classic with
partners or manufacturers, please contact us to discuss this in the first instance. A number
of commercial opportunities can be made available, and we would be delighted to help you
add to your displays and engage with third parties, but this must be pre-agreed.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us, and we look forward to
seeing you at the Silverstone Classic!
Kind regards
Neil Carr-Jones

Just had the email
We promised you an update before the end of May… and it is with a heavy heart that we bring you news that the 2020 Silverstone Classic will not be going ahead.

Following the latest Government advice, we have reached the inevitable conclusion that we will need to cancel this year’s event. Given the current circumstances and the outlook on timescales, a postponed event - which was our original back-up plan - in a way that enables us to run the Classic in the manner that you know and love isn’t a feasible option. Our priority at all times is the safety and wellbeing of those attending our events as well as our own team and we know that you’ll understand why this step has been necessary. Our heartfelt thanks must go to all of you for your patience throughout this period of uncertainty.

As an independent events company passionate about what we do, we are proud to have developed the Silverstone Classic into an internationally renowned historic motorsport festival enjoyed across generations of car enthusiasts, families, racing drivers, and petrolheads. In times of difficulty, communities tend to come together and we’re incredibly grateful for your continued support. It means a lot. All of you are what makes the event the success that it is and we hope to celebrate our 30th anniversary with you next year instead.

2020 tickets

Anyone who has a ticket will have the option to roll their tickets over to the 2021 event or request a full refund. There are a number of measures we need to put in place first, but we will be back in touch with all ticket buyers in June with details of the next steps. In light of the current situation, we have a reduced team who are dealing with a high number of enquiries, so please do bear with us.

We’ll be in touch soon. In the meantime, and above all else, stay safe and healthy.

With our best wishes,

The Silverstone Classic Team

Karl V

Hey IanG.

Gutted about the above post, but with my 'all information must be up to date' hat on - shall I mark this as cancelled on the Events Listing page?

Thank you Sir.
