Er, just asking - how long is one likely to get on the hill?

Last time out 36 cars had 4 runs AM and 4 runs PM.

How long does 1 run take?  40 seconds?  So total time in the car for the day would be 5 minutes 33 seconds...£175

Humm, rethinks...
Atom 3.5R, Black+Red flashes, CF front & rear wings, CF bonnet & mud guards.  Bristol

'Tis true; the total amount of time on the course isn't huge (about 1 minute per run) but it's a day of learning, not just driving round and round in circles  ;)  Plus you get a cracking breakfast, lovely lunch, nice afternoon tea (I reckon £50 worth of catering alone) and a good old bit of banter and socialising with friends new and old.....  And IMO there is much more skill (and danger/adrenaline) in going up Prescott quickly than there is in putting in a quickish lap at say Bedford Autodrome.

You actually get more driving time at our driving school day than you would at a normal hill climb meeting (which is of course a lot less than a track day).  I personally prefer hill climbing/sprints to a track day though as I like to actually compete....  As they say - 'When the Flag Drops the B***s**t Stops'.

For sure it's not for everyone, there are those who prefer doing endless laps of Bedford (i'm not one of them) - but the world would be a boring old place if we all liked the same thing.....

Prescott will be my first "event" after collecting the Atom in March
Have never done a track day
Fancied Prescott because
- you get tuition
- you get to go progressively quicker as you learn what the car will do ( hopefully!)
- chance to meet other Atom owners and share the passion as its Atom only
Hugely looking forward to it and the food's a bonus too!
Keep smiling!!
