2020 Season Kick off run - 5 April

Post by GraemeW » Wed Jan 01, 2020 2:19 pm

We will begin planning this shortly. Like last year probably a run out to Caffeine and Machine, probably with a new route.

This is a kick -off run to celebrate getting those Ariels out a bit more as the weather warms up. The day is aimed at owners in the south and the Midlands, where we all drive to meet up for a pub lunch. Owners further north also welcome.

Last year we had a good turn out with about 15cars and met up at Caffeine & Machine for lunch

Cars grouped up at various locations to drive there. Ian and I selected some roads for the southern approach. We will decide on routes later. Last years roads were quite good.

I recommend we meet there again, if no one has any other brilliant suggestion? Deciding now so we can publicise the details bit wider.

No bright ideas from me. And we likely need to contact them don't we, if we want to pre-book parking and what not?

Maybe a show of hands as a next step?

I should be in the country so up for this (unless it’s chucking it down).

Any view on routes and all that malarkey? Will hopefully be the first run with a charger in the back of the SLC (silly little car as my daughter calls it)

Winmoz

'SLC' unfortunately is already taken as it is the acronym commonly used by commercial aircrew to describe their passengers!

What does it mean?

'Self Loading Cargo' !! 🙄😜

Would like to know too.... Caffine and Machine is 45 mins south of me. Would like to come down for the run or meet part way around to the pub

Plus... I still think we need to pre-arrange some sort of parking don't we?

Otherwise it is 'get in if you can' I seem to recall.

Not long now...

As per Corona update, I will no longer be joining this event.

If any of those listed above still wish to do the run, then one person should pick up coordinating time to meet at the start point
