Didn't manage to download the itn file (got an error message) so hopefully I can bluetooth the route via another tomtom at Heston Services.

26 degrees in London tomorrow....bring your sun tan lotion!  8)

See you all at Heston Services for the 6am breakfast.

When I go to my route app via Bruce's link at 63 I see the route for tomorrow  dated 07.05.16. I have down loaded Bruce's route dated 04.05.16 previously.

If I log onto my route app via web I get limited routes posted by Bruce and not the latest dated 07.05.16. I can't transfer it to my PC yet I can read it via the link as above. It does not show in Bruce's routes either.

What am I doing wrong please?

Thanks

Julian

Guys... the links on here are just for convenience... They may not be up to date and they certainly won't work after tomorrow.

To get the latest file you need to:

Go to MyRoute App

Go to Groups

Go to AAOC

Go to London Dawn Raid 2016 dated  07-05-16

(Or skip these steps and paste https://www.myrouteapp.com/en/social/route/92583?mode=share
in your browser)

Go to Save As

Save as the most relevant file. For TomTom 400 that's a .gpx, for older models, that's a .itn I don't know what Garmin use... someone help me out?

Go to where you've downloaded it to (possibly 'Downloads' folder)

Connect your device

Find the device. Find the downloads folder (or wherever the file is)

Copy the file across to your device

Check it's in My Routes or whatever your device has that holds the routes

If you're using a 400, then when you start off, follow the Track - NOT the route. I'll explain why tomorrow.

That should do it.

In fact, I just set up a dummy non-admin account, and it worked fine.

Looking forward to the outing. A couple more will be joining us from out this way  8)

I'll aim to be at Heston by 0600. I have the route in the phone but no mount, I plan on not losing the group!

See you tomorrow.

Apparently i need someone to approve my application to join the group.

Not that it works on my phone in any case (I can't access 'groups' from the iPhone app, and my tom-tom software won't do its files) but it'll give me the route to input manually!

If you get lost, there are two collection points. The tower, and the 96 club.

And attached is a PDF just in case the technology lets you down.

And here's the .itn file...

Just change the extension from txt to itn as the forum won't allow itn file uploads

You guys know you could have done all this yourselves, right?

Actually, it's google earth, but you can convert for yourself from there

How do you get just a list of the waypoints rather than a turn by turn?

Or just the address of the collections points?
