Hi Everyone,
I am starting to plan a week touring in corsica next year around june.
The dates are not fixed yet.
The plan is to have the car transported from london a week ahead, fly to nice (where the car would be delivered), take the boat to corsica, tour for a week, drop the car back in nice and fly back to london.
Now why June, because july and august are very busy in corsica.
Shipping the car is the most cost effective in my mind, return should cost between 700-900 depending on the number of cars.
we could match it with a track day in either Ledenon (30€ for 20min) or Paul Ricard (le Castellet - 700€ per day) or Le Luc.
Let me know if this would be of interest to anyone.

Sounds great but expensive, bare in mind when you are doing dates... Le Mans which members are signing up to now.
Good luck.

good things dont come cheap ;-)
Having said that foor the transport, if you were to drive instead of flying:
Eurotunnel abt 120€ (return)
Fuel abt 500€ (return)
Highway toll abt 250€ (return)
so a return cost is abt 900€ give or take.
a plane ticket is less than 100€, hence even if 2 are flying it would still make sense in my opinion.
As for le mans, i am more ticket of the end of June so it shouldnt overlap however i doubt people would do both.

Re: A week touring in Corsica
The roads in Corsica are sensational. I have only driven them in:
a) A hire car - which was amazing but scary
b) My Alvis - which at two tons and no power steering was a challenge, but good fun.
The locals drive like lunatics, though.
I know of a couple of great places to stay... and have mates on the island.
As for cost, it looks like its six of one... if you include hotels in Max's budget, it's probably more economical to ship and fly...
