I mentioned parking in my booking for Chamonix, this is the reply I got:

"Concerning the car parking, our parking is made of 7 places maximum.
If there is available space when you arrive you can park for free.
But if our parking is full at your arrival, you will have to park at the parking St Michel located 2 minutes walking distance from our Hotel, it is a Fee Parking."

...which sounds fine, but I thought I'd let everyone know :)

Yeah, I'd say the paid parking nearby is pretty safe in Chamonix. It's the only hotel that will give us any problems parking. The others all have enough space (or grounds!).

Just a quickie – if booking.com appear to be short of rooms, go direct to the hotel in question. They look to be keeping rooms for themselves, not listed on booking.com.

Anyone not coming on this one, you are gonna kick yourself. French Alps, Swiss Alps and the Black Forest. We'll be like kids in a sweet shop – great roads wherever you look.

Here comes the little man driving the twisties...

All done - chateau de mairy just via their enquiry form on the website!

Bruce - Hotel Victoria I booked through the hotel's own website (which links off to a different site to handle the booking).

Has everyone that's coming got their hotels booked? Just want to make sure we're not leaving anyone out of the group.

Now we know where we are staying, we can get on with choosing some great routes.

Rob – all booked (early for a change)
George - all booked
Andy S – all booked (I believe - SG)
Bod – all booked (I believe - SG)

Along with these confirmed drivers, it is possible we will have one or two other folk with us for a segment of the trip. One in an Atom and one not.
