I am definitely coming from Southampton, after a good send off from the GF. So it looks like everyone's heading for the Churchillian at 7pm, with George collecting Julian in Chiswick late afternoon, who are then collecting Simon on the way down the A3.

And we're all looking forward to a punt in the Kiss-Bow. Sorry, X-Bow.

Vive les vacances!

Anyone coming on this might want to consider a bike lock re luggage to avoid carrying it at lunch etc. Just a deterrent.

Not wishing to tug the tail of the weather devil, but the forecast is looking good for the whole trip. 18/19 degrees and sun/cloud, with a gentle breeze.

Any respect the locals had for the Allies will be blown to pieces if you drive an X-Bow in a mankini.

Calling all drivers,
I am very conscious of the need to keep any eye on our cars and if possible not have to lug our luggage around. I have spoken with the duty Manager in the Churchillian and have arranged for our cars to have reserved parking directly in front of the pub. An area should be coned off as soon as you turn up the into the entrance, google earth should give you tech savvy types an advantage. Of course if you're not first, then there should be an Atom there or even a kissbow, who knows?
Heres looking forward to a first drink of the trip looking over the romantic spires of Portsmiff!

Rob,

Been meaning to ask, did you drop that poor fella into my street on Sunday. He fell from an aircraft coming into Heathrow. Made a bit of a mess.

It's a new Ryanair service. They're so sick of being pilloried for landing at airports miles away from the intended destination that they now drop you off wherever you want. ;)
