The London Dawn Raid (LDR) has been a staple event for pre-dawn hoonings over the years. Some would say since the Club's inception.
I remember my first (and only) Club outing when I had an Atom. It was Sunday, 2011. The start point was a wet Service Station on the M4.
We hooned into that there London for an hour or two...
And ended at Ace Cafe with bacon and beans.
Times have changed though. Due to COVID, the Congestion Charge is now 7am - 10pm every day (gawd bless you Mr. Scrooge) and now a whopping £15. This is of course only temporary.
Yes, you are right - the charge does NOT apply between 10pm and 7am. Even at Christmas...
Question though... Are the days of the London Dawn Raid gone? Do they become London Night Raids? Or with a steady 20 MpH camera system, is London even worth it?
Where do we go from here???
Is London dead?
Re: Is London dead?
This was the one run I always wanted to do when I was waiting for my Atom, now I have one I'm definitely up for an early Sat/Sun morning run, maybe sooner rather than later, considering how quickly restrictions are lifting ...
