Good to see Ian, Mark and family, and have another nose around the little mini museum.

A little light on Ariel metal, but my new 4 held up the brand image!

I enjoyed the drive back too when it was a little warmer and i could explore the car to its full potential now its back from the first service / checkup.

I hope we can get some more stuff in the diary, but its getting chilly out there in the mornings.

I am considering an updated feedback post in one of the other threads, but in short yes Stu. Noticeably better. Much more like the lunacy of the older cars. Before it was very smooth, refined and effortlessly quick, now it grabs my attention in the lower gears like the old car used to.

I think care will be needed on track as the boost comes in harder now, and is less linear than the chargers. But it does add the kind of sudden brutal performance that make it such a memorable experience. I like to tame the animal if that makes sense. Its a more complex, involving, and rewarding process getting the best from it. Before it was so composed smooth and rounded it felt a bit too easy.

I also prefer the noise now which is a little more exhaust / engine noise (to counter the turbo whistle).

I think as we suspected (and hoped) the car does somewhat come alive with the extra power.

I was concerned slightly that I may have swayed you into spending more of your hard earned and I'm glad that it sounds like money well spent. Your impressions exactly mirror my thoughts. I think on track we'll be up a gear and driving on torque to prevent needing mid-corner changes.
