Tbh Tony the 3.5R is always strong money mate but it looks like decent spec with Ohlins. Nice work. It looks like you could learn a bit more about your car by coming to meet some of us, having a chat and getting some good driving done! Keep an eye out for upcoming events in the new year. We are looking to do a winter social on January too if you can make it. Plenty of peeps around the South/South West area so great for getting out there.

Any questions give me a shout.

Alex

Wow!!! I didn’t pay as strong money as that.

In fact, it makes mine look like a bargain

I need to buy helmet(s), also for my boys, gloves etc etc

Any good advice where to get it from?

Thanks

Tony

Welcome and congratulations, that is a lovely car. I saw it online when I was looking, first when it was up for sale by the owner and then again when Williams advertised it. It was at the same price I think, so perhaps they were selling it on SOR?

The advert clearly shows a red rocker cover and the advert says its got the 2 litre engine. From what I've read on here, I think the consensus is that the 2 litre is the more desirable engine, although any 3.5R is very desirable and will hold its value as it is the pinnacle of the supercharged cars. In the last month Fifth Gear tested one, as did Evo - both against a Caterham 620s - and it came out on top.

Enjoy!

Tony

I would strongly suggest that you get the cf seats when the car goes to the factory. They hold you really well, are adjustable fore and aft like a normal car, don't flex and look great.

Mine used to come loose - but I had the v early ones. Hopefully they’ve sorted that now.

Cheers,

Hi Alan
Change the seats?
Do you know how much they cost?
Thanks

CAG3D you got a good deal there. I’d seen the car before and it’s a good spec. Was tempted myself :) but don’t think other half would have like it if I turned up with a second Atom. Enjoy it, and hope to see you at some gathering of Atoms one day

Seats are £2100, could be slightly more to retro fit but I don't think so.

Yes at least from the spec sheet for the 3.5, carbon seats per pair are £2100. When I had my order for the 3.5 I planned to get Tillett seats to replace the tub duo in the 3.5. The B4 I am told fit the Atom nicely and are much cheaper than the carbon ones and can be constructed from carbon + GRP or just GRP: https://www.tillett.co.uk/shop/exd-B4-C ... asp?id=112 I'd double check with Tillett if considering though. You can also opt for a sued trim with these.

Now as I decided for the 4 instead of the 3.5, Ariel has changed the design and now each seat is separate hopefully making the application a lot better and hold you in better so saving money on new seats.

Don't forget that as well as the seat itself, you will also need (per seat) the Tillett runners and Tillett mounting brackets and a custom Ariel tray to fit.

That is true John. Adds another ~£100 or so per seat. If I had a 3.5 I would do this. But getting a 4, I don't think (hope) this will be necessary.

I will stick with the ones that are currently fitted for now.
I have nothing to compare it to, only my heated seats in the Audi, which I assume these are heated too .

I can confirm the cf seats are heated.
