I live between Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire & Tring, Herts.

There’s a few Nomads around my way, but I don’t know of any Atoms.

I'm not far, Northwood. What gearbox has your car got on it? It'd be interesting to compare my Sadev 3.5R with the Honda.

It has a manual box. Do you have a 3.5R, with Sadex box?

Northwood, don’t mess with the Northwood boys (Inbetweeners)

Very special. I’ve never seen a 3.5R for sale, with that box.
I’d love it, but soooo much money.
It will be a pleasant change driving a manual though.

I have paid strong money for it but I’m not planning on selling it for a very long time.

If I can, I tend to keep cars for a while, I’ve owned a Cosworth for 23 years

Yeh, you’re not far from me at all, approx 30 mins

Tony

Which engine do you have in your 3.5R? K20 or K24?
Atom 3.5R (Cyprus)
Honda CRV 2.2 Ex Auto i-DTEC (Cyprus)
Suzuki Celerio 1.0 SZ4 (Cyprus)

I collect it next week, it’s a 2015 model

When supplies of the Honda V-TEC 2.0L (K20Z4) engine began to run out Ariel started fitting the American made Honda 2.4L engine I.e. the engine that is fitted to the Nomad which revs lower but has increased torque.

Sir Nick's 2016/2017(?) 3.5R has the supercharged K24 engine fitted - my own 3.5R has the K20 engine.

I believe, but am not 100% sure, that the K24 has a silver rocker box cover as opposed to the red rocker box cover of the K20

Does your Atom have the 10 way Bilstein or the variable Ohlin dampers fitted to it?

Has everyone got the 3.5R? They are very rarely up for sale, so I was very excited when seeing this one

I assumed that it would be a good spec, being the ‘R’. I never realised there were so many variables.

Mr Caged

I'm going through the 'running in' phase but v happy to drive over to you one day when it's dry. I'm largely in control of my own time, at least when my wife and children allow, so any day any time really. I have absolutely no plan to ever drive this car in the wet.

Interested to know what you paid for it, mileage and age.

Alan

Hi Alan
That would be great.
I’m not going to drive it in the wet either.
I used to ride bikes many moons ago, all year round. This is a fun dry day thing for me.
If I’m honest, I paid quite strong money for it.
2015, 3300 miles
I managed to negotiate the plate too ‘CAG3D’, which I felt suited the car.
These are worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it.
I didn’t want to wait two years for a new one. A lot can happen in two years.
Out of the three I’ve driven, one being a 310 supercharged one, this just seem to hit the right button.
