Caparo T1

Unlikely this, but does anybody have any first hand experience, or mates with experience, or any unusual insight into the ownership, buying, maintaining, insuring or any other thing about a T1?

Any useful comments very welcome.

My next door neighbour used to be one of their senior techs, doing many things including building gearboxes at Hewland for them.

He never brought one home, and never suggested I get one, but he did think the topgear coverage of it was totally unfair. He never really said why, but he was fuming.

It's not much I'm afraid, but hope it helps even if a teeny bit.

I have lusted after a Caparo since they were first shown, it's possibly the only thing that I would find more exciting than my car. I'd worry about it letting me down though.

Nothing else, (maybe a V8?) would make me sell the R. It is *@^$&¥@&#^ spectacular.
