Where does it say its a 3.5? - Incorrect V5

Just had the V5 back from Swansea with me as the new owner.
The car is titled Ariel ATDM !! FFS
Also, I was wondering where does it officially state (on what documentation) that it's a genuine 3.5?
Or is that another 'ring the factory and ask them?'

Both the 3.5 and 3.5R say its a 3.5 on the logbook. I've had a few and none have said 3 or anything else.

Logbook as in Owners handbook or v5? My V5 just says Ariel ATDM !!

Don't forget that the V5 is not legal proof of ownership of a vehicle it merely shows the name and address of the 'Keeper' of the vehicle.

V5's show
a. Manufacturer - i.e. Ariel
b. Model.- i.e. Atom 3 (or 4)

Sub model versions (3.5 300 3.5 310 or 3.5R are not shown)

Your actual model version should be shown on your sales receipt or on subsequent invoice(s) if it's been upgraded to a higher spec!

mine just says ARIEL ATDM !! Its no real issue as its a 2016 model and there was only 3.5s then. Bit annoying that no one else has spotted or bother to chase up the ATDM thing though!

I suspect that is simply a spelling error by the bottom feeder who processed your V5

My last Atom (3.5) was written as Ariel 4tom on the V5.

My V5 just says "ARIEL", with no other details, as shown on the scan I've attached.

Then lower down the V5, the VIN/Chassis/Frame No. on the original first registration document had "Z0ZZEN" in the middle, instead of "2022EN", so I notified DVLA of the error, and I had to return it for them to correct their mistake.
It came back weeks later with "20222N" on it, so they'd corrected the letter Z's back to number 2's, but then changed the letter "E" to a number "2" as well.
I gave up at that point, and it's been like that ever since, even when they've issued a new V5 as formats changed, after all, how many people check it.

I thought of a different body type John, as Ariel "The Little Mermaid" was my first thought.
