Finally put an order in

Well having lurked for a while and then kept looking for a second hand one which matched my ideal spec I have got off the fence and put an order in (which I should have done 3 years ago when I first got interested). Who knows how long I will have to wait but a nice future Christmas present to myself...

Just to say that reading all the stuff you guys put up is truly helpful in decision making, thank you.

Merry Christmas to all.

Fantastic news. What spec did you go for?

Not even discussed spec yet, but in my head supercharged, the posh suspension, a bonkers colour scheme, bigger brakes and likely the smaller wheels with mud terrains on to keep it active whatever the weather. I have other vehicles for outright speed or handling but increasingly going sideways at a slower speed is more attractive. I am assuming around £75k.

Will be visiting them in January to discuss options, but I guess I am 2 or 3 years away from a delivery.

I will now fall into the trap of ordering all the little bits and bobs I read about on these threads to enhance it post arrival.

The three wheeler is absolutely bonkers.

Buy one from Krazy Horse, they upgrade suspension and the engine then you have around 100bhp and 100 torques (!) through a small rear wheel.

The rule on corners is slow in (since the engine hangs out in front of the axle) fast out, usually sideways. Very easy to control, no kerb drama since the rear wheel is in the middle so you have a lot of wriggle room.

Everyone loves it (bit like an Ariel I suspect).

I have the new model on order for the summer but given I will never sell the old one (2018) I think it may be around only until the Nomad gets here, you only really do 1,000 miles a year in something like that and I think the Nomad would fill a different need in my garage.

Trouble is once you have upgraded a 3 wheeler you are on around £50k which is Atom money, but similar to Ariel products they do not really depreciate.

If I could figure out how to upload a photo I would…

He has ordered a Nomad. Nomad 2 should be Turbo though.

Love 3 wheelers as well.

I had a B8 RS4 then a C7 RS6 prior to the Tesla, loved them both. Build quality of the Audi's was 100x better than my crappy Tesla.

Yes love mine. Had it 6 years. Sounds great, it has a full de-resonated exhaust. May change in the next 12 months or so. Fancy a 911.

I had a 911 991.1 GTS at the same time as the RS4. The 911 is a totally different experience, of course. But if you use it daily you will find the interior noise is 10x that inside the RS4 and you will miss the toys and comfort. But in return you can go round corners faster, and it’s a Porsche.

Thanks for the advice. Last naturally aspirated “normal” 911 I bet that sounded epic.

One of the ones that got away. Bought it new from showroom, kept it for 12 months and 6,000 miles, sold it for what I paid for it as I fancied a change and it was going to cost me my licence. Was a cracking car. Didn’t have an auto-dipping rear view mirror which drove me crazy (it’s free on a Polo, costs £450 on a 911, go figure).

I've been on a waiting list to get on the waiting list to place a deposit. In a thread in the Atom NA forum, there's some thought that TMI (US) is no longer building them. However, when I spoke to Jesse, he says that's not true and I may be contacted sometime this year to start the process.

Has anyone from this forum, who lives in the US, placed an order recently through TMI?
