Screen To cover the Wing Mirror Aperture.

Has anyone tried to seal up this area? As we all know in heavy rain this area seems to act as a funnel to fire rain straight into you face!
Has anyone come up with a solution other than goggles?

Full face helmets just take up too much space on long trips to the continent. The full winter cover is overkill so a half way house thats easily carried in the car for the days when you get caught out by the weather Is what I am looking to achieve.

Art added some triangular perspex (I'm thinking of doing the same).

I made my own triangle plexi glass panels & also the main sides as well.
They don’t look as neat as the originals , but I personally wasn’t keen on the welded lugs, & my solution cost very little apart from time.
Now I have the pattern I could knock up replacements quite quickly .
I would buy a proper cutting tool if I did them again though.
The difference they make to the car is unbelievable.
You can’t really go off road without the main panels or you will get absolutely filthy. Also driving anywhere is much more comfy, cuts out the belts buffeting constantly & makes the car quite warm inside.
In fact the interior gets too warm once the temp goes above @20 degrees.
I will try & post some pics.
At 1st I used orange cable ties, but I think it looks better with black & they are easier to get.

I've just the wing mirror gap to fill (got the side panels). Still reckon it'll be worth doing though since, even on the brief rides I've had in Nomads, the buffeting through those alone is quite noticeable. Might discuss with the factory today; I'm due some build pics anyway...

I thought about making similar little triangles for the side hole - but how do you attach them and make sure they dont rattle around ? Just 2 cable ties surely dont do the job do they ?

The crucial bit is the slit for the mirror stem, if you get this right , the Perspex almost wedges in the hole.
If you look closely you can see there is a black tie around the mirror stem, this would hold it there on its own.
