I seem to think it's on as a opener to the program, let's wait and see, think it was filmed in Morroco

Show listing suggests Nomad is featured as stated in Morocco.  Show picture is of an airborne Nomad.  MLeB is the one doing the feature.

for me it came across as a little bit forced and corny, trying too hard.

Loved the Nomad piece tho.

Not impressed with the two stars at all, or the new track.

5 out of 10  :td:

like they say you never know what you had until its gone.

Same old formula presented by those without the charisma of those who went before.
Disappointing.

I watched till the end but it was a struggle.....even cringeworthy at times.

Very disappointing. Can't believe they just stuck with exactly the same format. I thought Matt Leblanc was actually the most entertaining part of it though.

Can't see Evans sticking with that for more than 1 season myself unless it improves considerably.

Good to see Ariel front and centre though!

I find le Blanc way too dry........Evans seems to lean forward and shout at the camera.....a lot.
The guest slot where they introduced each other and then rated each other's cars was awful.

Agree that LeBlanc was good (and I like him), but it's Top Gear without any of the chemistry... And all a bit 'knowing'

I think that'll take time - and they need to do a few 'Bonding' moments films. Maybe it would have been good to have started the series with something that was all personalities and the 'characters' that they want to portray and very little about cars. That or let Evans change the format completely.

Also, it seemed designed for BBC Worldwide as opposed to a UK audience.

Completely agree with Ross. They had a blank sheet of paper... and they used carbon.

I very much doubt that the Nomad piece will do the same for Nomad sales as the Atom piece for Atoms all those years ago...

Let's see a) what a few more in the series is like, and b) what the old lot do with the Grand Tour. I imagine that they'll be trying new things. Shame that the BBC played safe.

I suspect that Extra Gear will ultimately be the better show. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p03w1dcs/top-gear-extra-gear-episode-1
