I've been there - I've got a picture of me stood outside the garage - there was the old red/white Ariel sign in the front window.
The smell of that place does evoke memories of what it would have been like in days of old.
I hope you visited the boiled sweet shop over the road.

Not at Beamish but at Crich, I was driving this a few weeks ago - I cant help think it's the Atom of tramcars - it has controls, motors, seats, wheels and some stuff to hold it all together and nothing else!
