Bying a 3.5R, value?

Post by Bybarth » Sat Dec 08, 2018 11:26 am

Hi,

I'm looking at a 3.5R here in Sweden that I might buy.
It has basically all equipment that you can order from the factory, but without the Sadev gearbox.
It's a 2016 and has gone about 3500km.
what do you think it's worth?

Looking forward to suggestions as it is very rare so I find it difficult to find an adequate price level ...
3.5R only one in sweden🙂

It depends on the spec i.e. does it have; Ohlins, alloy radiator, Alcons upgrade brakes carbon wings, factory regular service etc. The wings actually don't come with the 3.5r. Best to post a link to the car here. But failing that, for a 2016 car you will be looking close to what it costs new if not more which is normally at least £60k but again depends on spec.

Cheers
Simon

Very difficult to say as, assuming it is LHD, the European market is very different to the UK market. In the UK, a 2016 RHD 3.5R with that sort of mileage would probably be £65k+, so SEK750,000+. Have you contacted the factory to ask about the car? They should also be able to give you a idea on pricing for the Nordic market.

Thanks for replays.
It's almost fully equipped, TTX,wings,Alcons,f1 a-frames, welded rollbar, light flywheel, magnesium x wide wheels, brake bias, race fuel tank...
And it's hardly used at all.
So 65k - 70k£ is a reasonable price then?

I'd say so, but obviously they are very rare so who knows. New it was £70k+ with that spec.

Got to love your taxes! In which case, you may need to pay nearer to that, as they don't really depreciate. How much is he asking?
