Back on the road - ready for Le Mans

Post by Cjg62 » Sun Jun 10, 2018 9:14 pm

After many months of toil and 18 months since my last fateful drive, I'm back on the road!

I was (quietly) hoping to hook up with the the Silverstone gang at Mucky D's this morning but couldn't quite get together in time. For such an outwardly simple looking machine, there's so many little details that I needed to sort before it was ready to go. Even then I lost two Dzus fasteners so wasn't able to run with the T tray!

However, I managed a 60 mile shakedown this afternoon around Northants and Buckinghamshire in preparation for my first trip to Le Mans this Wed.

Is there anybody else going? I haven't seen any mention this year!

All being well I should be able to make an appearance the 'Gas' too.

Fantastic news Chris. Well done that man. A great day for a shakedown too!

Nothing official with the club this year but I was talking with some of the guys about it for next year. Could be very tempted!

Safe journey down, where are you staying?

All my 1/4 turn fasteners have these retainers fitted so they stay in the panel
