... and sidepods needed !

looks very good .. even better when you can replace that blue tape protecting the chassis from the wing mounts with some suitable thin rubber component.

Yes. I'd probably need some sidepods ......... and I have actually made a pair last winter. But I do not really know how I will mount them. Then I do not know if they were so good.

The blue tape is not visible when you mount the engine cover. But  I would like to replace the blue silicone hoses to black instead.

Now the first problem related to the turbo revealed.
When I was at a trackday this weekend at the end of Sunday it started to smoke heavily from the engine. :o
I was completely terrified, and drove slowly into the pits. Then I see that the valve caps packing had pressed out, and it is leaking from the engine.

The probable cause of this problem is that the turbo is mounted too close to the valve cap and packing had become too hot.

The problem is now solved and I have also isolated the valvecap and the engineblock on the side how facing the turbocharger.

great thread .. looks like you did a great job with it ..

did you ever get the 300hp / 400hp switch done infront of the driver ?

any dyno or idea of how much hp the car is making now ?

Can you try and describe what you mean by valvecap packing?

Sorry, but I was not sure the name of the part. But the valve cover is the red hood above the engine block. Between these there is a packing that had broken down

Thanks

No we didnt install the swicher and we have not done the dynotest yet.
But it gives the engine approximately 400-410bhp, and although the turbo, the car works very well for track days, which worried me a bit.
But I think I need a catch tank for both oil and gasoline. Meanwhile I ensure that they are well stocked.
