Gear shifting gate mechanism

Post by K20A2 » Thu Jul 21, 2022 3:10 pm

Hello,
do I remember correctly, that this was taken from the MGF for the Atom 1 ?
Could this easily be replaced if the mechanism is worn and the gear lever is wobbly?

Thank you.
So can you confirm, that it is correct, that the Atom 1 uses the MG part?

If so: Following your link do you perhaps know, whether the MGF or MGTF kit would be needed?

I have replaced the shifter by mike satur one on my car, it's quite good compared to the worn original one but still a tiny but of wobble, still far behind the AA3 lever.
Also put the racing spring, feeling is a tad better as well

Lew,
do you perhaps remember, whether you ordered the MGF kit or the MGTF kit?

Just ask him for the Atom specific kit, he provided quite a few dozens now and knows what it is about

Kind of surprised, I just asked for an Atom Honda 6 speed kit and got it

6 speed, is this including reverse?

Otherwise the Atom 1 had a 5 speed. Perhaps that may make the difference.(?)

Indeed, afaik Atom 1 and 2 have the same MG gear selector anyway. Maybe that's why he does not know about Atom 1

I received information from Mike Satur, that the MGF (not MGTF) one would be correct.
