Hello and Welcome to Ariel Club - Read This First

Post by Richard Marler » Thu Apr 16, 2009 10:40 am

Hello and welcome to Ariel Club.

We welcome all comers, but especially current, soon to be or old Atom, Nomad or Ace owners and other people with a genuine interest in Ariel vehicles.

Joining any forum community can be a daunting experience, but fear not, our members are a friendly and knowledgeable bunch. Do bear in mind, however, that members come from all over the world and from many different backgrounds and that, as such, they have varied senses of humour and ways of expressing themselves. The Forum Moderators are always on hand if you require any assistance.

Before posting a new question, it always a good idea to search the forum. With over 150,000 posts, it is likely that someone has asked the question before. Searching from the front page will search all the boards that you have access to. Searching from within a board will only search that board. Alternatively you can use the Advanced Search feature to narrow your search even further.

The Forum Tips and Tricks board contain lots of information on how to get the most out of the forum, including how to add pictures, how to do quotes, etc. Forum Rules lists the small number of rules that we have to try and keep things nice and friendly. In particular there are rules concerning anyone with commercial interest in Ariel vehicles. Commercial posts are strictly limited to the Wanted / For Sale board.

If you already own or are thinking of owning an Atom, Nomad or Ace then you really should consider joining the club. The club has a strong sense of community, with regular track and social events. In addition, the club has arranged discounts on a range of good and services, that should more than cover the cost of membership. Please be aware that as the club started in the UK, the majority of the current discounts are still UK based, but we are continuing to look for equivalent discounts in other regions.

Club Member Benefits

Post by Richard Marler » Thu May 07, 2009 10:54 am

Joining Ariel Club is a great way to ensure that you get the very most out of your Ariel vehicle ownership. The club arranges many events, both social and track orientated, and is a source of a large amount of Ariel related information. In addition, being a club member brings various perks and below you will find a list of the benefits applicable to your region. Details of how to access these benefits can be found in the members only 'Clubroom' forum board.

In the UK, club members have access to the follow benefits:
  • The single most important benefit, is the 12% discount offered exclusively to club members by the Ariel factory on labour charges, when having your vehicle serviced, repaired or upgraded.
  • The club has also negotiated discounts with some of the UK's best TDOs (Track Day Operators), including EasyTrack (10%), MotorSport Vision (10%) and Gold Track (£10 discount and free afternoon coaching).
  • The RAC offers all Ariel Club members a 25% discount on acquisition and renewal of breakdown cover.
  • Various insurance companies, including Adrian Flux and HIC, offer discounts on Atom and Nomad insurance to Ariel Club members.
These benefits alone more than cover the cost of membership, but in addition the club directly offers its members:
  • Use of the club catalytic converter, whereby you pay only the cost of shipping to and from the club.
  • Rental of club G-tech Pro RR metering kit, for only £20 per event.
