Here up North

Post by Big Col » Thu Apr 11, 2024 9:50 pm

Hello to all,
I am in a bit of a dilemma, I have just bought an atom and tried to join the club. It wasn’t the easiest of things to do, and in fairness, it may have been due to things beyond anyones control (internet connection being what it is). However I am now wondering if it is worthwhile joining the club.
It seems to be very southern centric, which for anyone living in leeds, as I am, would be a bit pointless.
Is there somebody out there that can advise any differently, as it would be a shame to enjoy my new purchase all alone.
Kind regards
Colin.

What Atom do you have? 3, 3.5 or 4

It may appear that my initial thoughts are correct.
Having an atom in the north of England may be a solitary affair.
Luckily there are a few options to look at regarding meeting with car enthusiasts.
Lets hope some other folk join the fold and take up the pleasures of owning an atom in the north of England.

There are a lot of Ariel Owners up North. Most of them are on Whatsapp and also on Facebook which is used more than the Forum. Go onto the Ariel Club Facebook page.

Hello again,

I dont know if I may have misled you all earlier. I stated that I had an Atom 3 SC. Not realising that there is an S version, can I put things right by saying it is an Atom 3 with a supercharger and not the one with the side pods.

As regards getting in touch with members in the north, I don’t have a face book account, however Ian has kindly offered to put me on to the what’s app north section so I can get involved initially before joining up.

Thank you for your patience.

Colin

Big Col

The Atom with the sidepods is the 3.5R which has 350bhp

Other Atom 3 versions are usually : 3 245 (normally aspirated), 3 300 or 3.5 310 - both the latter supercharged
