Hello everyone.

Hello there.  I made an account here a while ago, but buying an Atom wasn't really in the cards then.  I'm at a point now where buying my dream car is finally on the horizon.  It's about time I started doing more research and getting serious about saving up.

I look forward to talking to you all.  :)

Thanks.  The only question/concern that I really have is that the Atom will be my first performance car.  I've driven high-performance cars sporadically, but never owned one.  So how is the Atom for Baby's first performance car?

I'm in your shoes, and have had mine for over 200 miles now.

My fastest owned car prior was a Scirocco R.  Though have driven Ferrari's, Porsches etc.

What would I say?  It's "hard", as in it's no GT cruiser.

If you're gentle with the controls, don't drive in the wet that sort of thing, you'll probably be ok :)

I would hope it has more bite than a GT Cruiser  ;D.

USA question.  I actually live around 2 hours from the TMI factory in Virginia.  Can I take the car there for repairs?  There's also a Honda dealership nearby, but they're going to charge an arm and a leg.

Oh, and how well does it handle speed bumps?

Hi Jeff and welcome to the fray! You'll love it. The Atom was my first foray into performance cars after performance bikes and all I would say is show it some respect to start with until you know the quirks. Due to balance and weight etc, it's very much like a go-kart so hard straight line braking then on gas and fast out to overcome the understeer is the way for me but obviously I'm no pro! The ends will swap very quickly, especially in the wet if you trail brake so watch it for a bit. Just give it time and you'll grow to love it!

Enjoy!
310=325! That'll be the Presidential Remap kicking in... :vroom:

I still can't seem to access the club members area.  I paid the dues, but it still says it's off limits to me.  Did I mess something up during registration?

I saw the thread below that says it's a manual thing an administrator has to do.

One of the moderators or Rob Evans needs to do some manual configuration to set you up ..

Shouldn't be too long ..

Not a problem at all.  I'm sure you're busy.  :)
