Many happy memories, with many great people, around many parts of the UK.

I hope she finds a good home :'(

I really wish we knew why you're selling.

Seems 'wrong'

Right now, I have a few home improvement projects on the go.

Unfortunately, I had to sell my beloved Atom 2 eight years ago for a similar reason, but I knew I would be back one day... And when I did come back, I was determined to make up for 'lost time', which is why I have been such a PITA up until now, haranguing people to meet up and enjoy their cars ;)

If my numbers came up tomorrow, I'd cancel the sale in a heartbeat.

In the meantime, I'd love to stick around and continue helping to run the Club and celebrate everything Ariel, until I can get back into ownership again (a year or two maybe).

No more. No less.

Shame.

But if you want another in couple of years you might as well put a deposit down now on a new one.

Just a thought.

Thank you for your message.

I am away from my computer at the moment trying to forget the whole silly situation.

Auctions... stupid idea!

Surely bidding isn’t done at £45k! There’s easily another £10/15k in that!! Fingers crossed for you!!

Possibly.

These cars are not to everyone's taste. The Porkers and Lambos attract hundreds of bids, but it's more of a specialist market for these cars I reckon.

Congrats on the sale. A friend of a friend bought it.
I’ve also just bought one from a very nice gentleman on here, so I’m in a group of 4 Nomads and looking forward to some fun.

Good sale that. I wasn’t far off with my +£10/15k estimate when it was at £45 😬
Enjoy new owner 👍

As I've said before, the tough bit was deciding to sell. The auction route was... interesting - especially for such a specialist car - but I just wanted it gone. Couldn't bear the daily 'should I sell, should I not sell' dilemma.

The chap came round to see the car at the weekend and I'm glad it's going to a good home - it would have killed me to see a trader buy it and then flip it.

A well looked after car with a well documented list of mods (all of which are reversible) and many many happy memories - even if I did do silly things like drive from London to Wales or Norwich for a Breakfast meet up or two ;-)

Sounds like the new owner is keen to get out and about and keep the Nomad exploration flag flying high. Great stuff :tu:

AndrewD where are all these new Nomad owners based? It's got to be play time soon (when it stops being horrible)

We are all in Suffolk!

Started with one, who took his green car on a hoon to the Dolomites in 2019 whilst the rest of us were in more “normal” road cars (I took my Carrera GT). The bug set in from there!

Neat dropping in the 'my Carrera GT' I hardly noticed.
Fantastic, how long have you owned it may I ask?

A neighbour has one and it's almost never out of the garage.
A genuinely spectacular car I think.
