Jaguar, Buick top JD Powers 3 year reliability report
I know there are mixed opinions on J.D. Powers surveys, but they are an interesting data point.

I think everyone is getting a little sick of the JD Powers reports. You can put a twist on any report and get your brand on top. Consumer Reports seems to have much more creditability in this department.

Sorry if a bit rude, but the Jaguar tradition has been ruined, but hey the carpets are fantastic.

Its not rascist, but its pretty idiotic. Cant see where TATA have ruined any traditions ? Surely FORD have done any damage to that.

Do you mean the tradition of cars that break down a lot ? They have certainly fixed that.
Or do you mean the tradition of making good looking cars that are quite desirable, XF or S-type ? I would say they have re-established that.
Really don't get your point
Ben

Didn't jags used to be about hardcore saloons and grunty engines, but now Clarkson says they have gone a bit 'soft softy, catchy monkey'.
Re: Jaguar, Buick top JD Powers 3 year reliability report
XF R isnt soft and is coming out very well in the tests. Designs are improving. TATA seem to be doing well so far.

Oh Clarkson said it, my apologies you must be right.
'pace, space and grace' I beleive sums up Jaguars heritage and X-type aside I think they still live up to that

The last few years,Jags have been very reliable. The few I work on are easy to service and a joy to look at. They were nightmares in the 70's/80's
Re: Jaguar, Buick top JD Powers 3 year reliability report
TATA is living off what Ford did in the last few years before they sold it off. Count at least 4-5 yrs AFTER the sale to see how they are doing, when they are forced to mess with the design, use different power plants and see what they put into the marque. Basically, I'd think it's still too soon to tell.
