You don't know your Lotus heritage - the car is based on a F1 winning car driven by Jim Clark and Graham Hill in the 1967/68 season.

I thought it was based on an Elise

Lovely car Ms Plum - would very much like a look and ride

Love it.....other than those dreadful words down the side
"Team Lotus"
Er, right.
Fab otherwise, though.

Er, yeah, funnily enough, I do actually know that. I just think that sticking it on the side is cheesy.
Each to their own though.

Re: 2-11 thread.
I agree with Hedge.
Special paint jobs that commemorate a long lost heritage can be a bit naff...
If Lotus was still racing, that would be another matter... Still a bit twee, but at least justifiable.
I do have to say that I like the paint, though. Just not the type. I guess Lotus' other options are no longer open to them in this PC society as they were pretty much all tobacco sponsors!

a) I did say "pretty much"
b) Most people remember the success of the Gold Leaf and JPS cars. When I think Lots Of Trouble Usually Serious, I think of red and gold cars and black and gold cars. I liked them.
