New Ariel motorcycle?
Re: ARIEL ATOM BIKE, ARIEL CBR BIKE, ARIEL SUPERCHARGED BIKE?
This is not about an Atom and it has already been discussed before on the 'New Ariel motorcycle?' thread so should probably be merged with it.
Atom 245, (Atom 160 - SOLD), Yamaha XVZ1300 Royal Star, Ford Sierra 4X4 Ghia Estate, Skoda Octavia vRS Estate, VW Golf 2.0 TSI GTI (Nadine's)

As much as I love my Triumphs,( I really do..)I am not blind enough to think they can compete with the Japs on a performance/reliability/cost basis.
NFW!

Ahh but you're being way to literal.
In the "sex on two wheels" stakes - hands down winner!
I have to say my Triple cost $5,000, I can keep up with most oriental machinery and it's never let me down in 10 years. (There's a bloody jinx if ever there was one)!
It also has to be said though that aside from three pots, the S3 is "Japanese influenced".

Not bad in a temperamental, hairy armpit kind of way.
I think if I were to have a drunken fling on the Continent it would be with an MV though:

i would be tempted by British aswell, i mean the Triumph 675 Daytona that slide king Garry Mccoy will be piloting in 2008 in Word Super Sport, and has produced top 10 in all the preseason test so far, this is his team mates bike Paul Young.
So britis can make a good bike, sometimes...

NEVER said the Brits could not make a good bike (I have one that is about to have its 30th Bday) it's just in this day and age,you either sell bargain high performance or incredible style.Or both.Damn,I love bikes..
Re: New Ariel motorcycle?
So is Simon and Ariel still gauging public reaction to a possible Ariel motorcycle with the release of more sketches in AutoCar?
Re: New Ariel motorcycle?
I personally feel Ariels efforts would be more rewarded in offering the Atom in various configurations.
The bike industry is VERY crowded with EXCELLENT products currently.
I don't see any room for a newbie to make any money.

Re: New Ariel motorcycle?
Anyone considered that the project got quite a bit of publicity for Ariel?
Just a thought

Re: New Ariel motorcycle?
I don't think the publicity received will help Atom sales.
I am doubtful anyone dropped down a deposit on a future Ariel bike either.
Seems like a lot of effort for minimal return to me.
18 months to fill car orders? That will not help Atom sales.
THIS is where I feel they should be focusing their energies.
Fulfillment of existing obligations should be their utmost priority.
