Most exciting Spec Miata race yet - video

Post by dp35 » Mon Jul 26, 2010 4:35 pm

If you like close racing, it doesn't get much closer than this.  This was my race from yesterday, and it was the best race we've had this year.  The result could've been a bit better for me, but I can't complain too much.

That was sensational!! Looks like great fun but you must have been exhausted!!
Seriously nice job and great driving :tu:
I love the 'full use of the course' at just over 20 mins at the tight left then right at the top of the hill. The guy with the blue stripe looked pretty racey too!

Cheers,

Awesome Darin!  The mayhem behind you on the first corner didn't look like fun.  Only watched the first few minutes, I will watch the rest at home

Fantastic video DP35! I love the parity and close racing in the Spec Miata series. Great job!

Superb!

Thank you very much for posting your videos.  I can DL them at work and live vicariously when I get back home.  All those cars seem to be equally matched and the drivers are pretty close too.  The availability of world class tracks there on the West coast doesn't hurt the content either.

Cheers.

Great race Darin. I have no idea how you can concentrate on picking a braking point when your whole windscreen is full of the backside of  the car in front. Very physical race for the first few laps.

You simply have to break slightly earlier, which is why you see me lose ground at those times.

Here's the race from inside the #72 car (especially exciting on the 1st and last laps):

Wow ... that was a fun watch!

Nice use of the air brakes there on the last lap. ;)
