I'm with you Tom. People forget that Top Gear is an entertainment show first, and a car show 2nd.......lets face it, Clarkson spent 10 minutes quoting the brochure in the Macca test.

It amazes me that people really listen to what these guys have to say; same with some of the mags too.  If I'm going to buy something I like to have a go in it, try the competitors, do as much research as possible and make my own mind up.

I love my old Red Rocket motocross bike but if a lot of people tried to ride it they would think I'm mental, and I've spent a fortune on it over the years!

According to Evo the 'tweaked' 12c is "vastly better":

Wonder if they'll re-test if it's that much improved?

Good vid here, showing how nice the 12C sounds like in track mode (before the revisions to make it louder):

Two questions.  When car makers like Skoda can hide air bags in the dashboard, why does a car that costs ten times as much have a visible outline of where the bag is?  :H:

Plus on most cars why is it written on the plastic over the air bag, Air Bag, where ever an air bag is packed? I don't need to know where it is. I just expect it to pop out when appropriate.

Perhaps an attempt at a disclaimer when you subsequently complain of skin abrasion when it goes off or to warn not put your child's car seat in the front as there's an airbag?

When was the last time you checked that Skoda actually bothered putting one in?.... ;)

Hang on !! We can diss the Macca but we are NOT going to start being mean about Skoda's or I will take major offence.

I'm not sure what's worse  ;D

At least the Skoda airbag isn't likely to go off for no reason when you're driving along   And there is a slight price difference  >:D

This is so you know which direction it'll be coming from so you can duck to avoid it when it goes off.  Bad enough having a crash without also getting a smack in the face from a dusty bag of air as well!

Hang on Trigger, I'm complimenting Skoda's.  I've had a Fabia and a Superb, both great cars and both with hidden air bags.  Not a bold outline on the dashboard like an old Rover 216 or a MacLaren.

It does offer a heads up to first responders (assuming the 53 bags found in current cars do not all deploy in every crash) and salvage personnel.
