Gotta be honest - I would love to do that.

it's relatively cheap too $350 for 10 laps, you can get more if you want but 10 was good for me.

they give you the whole safety course rundown, education, and you have a professional in the passenger seat that instructs you when it's safe to pass or when to go faster or slow down or if you're way off line they'll grab the steering wheel and put  you back in line....pretty cool.

by the end they let me pass a car in the turns which was supposed to be against the rules...OMG passing someone at 170 is amazing :)

How is NASCAR relevant to the best drivers ?  The Indycar series (or whatever it is called this year) has had a few British champions even on their first attempt in some cases.

I know someone who has driven it extensively and describes it as making his regular Elise feel "sluggish".  This referred to the handling and acceleration.

Just as well you clarified that bit Ben otherwise I'd have assumed you'd meant that his Elise was slimey, left a trail and fizzed when salt was applied...

The clarification was because the 12C would obviously murder an Elise for acceleration but not so obviously for handling.  But I think you knew that ;)

Saw the press conference last night, and its was very interesting.
2866lbs dry weight seems very good. Do not know where the 458 or other competitors come in.

Would love to tour MTC someday. Do they offer tours?

The Ferrari quoted 458 dry weight is 1380 kg (3042 lbs), Curb weight 1485 kg (3274 lbs).  The 430 dry weight was quoted at 1350 kg and the 2008 430 Scuderia was 1250 kg.

Not that I know of.  This is a pity as I have been quite a few times and can confirm it is as good as you think it will be!

Their car configurator's available now:-

Some tasty options to be had.  I can imagine that a well spec'd up car will cost a bloody fortune.  An inconel exhaust would clearly be a must have...

Cheers, Ross.
