You must have some crazy insurance laws in NC.  You will probably want to search around for a collector car club in your area and ask who does their insurance.

Got a call from Chrome today.  Underwriter is "worried" about the car.  Gave them full explanation of what the car is, what we plan to do - street with occasional track use and willing to negotiate no track coverage into the policy.  They will meet next week and give me a final answer.  Still working on it.

Excellent work, bolus. Keep us posted.

Unfortunately, Hawaii appears on every one of these lists, it seems. How am I going to cover my Atom?

I have been insured with State Farm for a year.  They did put a restriction on the car; no insurance if racing or excessive speed.

Great info Bolus, thanks for the posting. It makes me a little uneasy that this isn't in the clubroom though?

The state level registration forum isnt open to the public.  You have to either make a bunch of posts as a regular contributor or be a paid member.  Feel free to say anything you want in this area about registration or insurance

I also made this post a long time ago so I dont know if it is up to date

In Florida I use American Modern, also known as American Southern. TMI gave me their name, good prices.

In Hawaii, I was able to insure my 2006 with Progressive, or with Grundy if it meets their criteria.

I'm also insured by State Farm in Georgia. I've been with the company for 15+years and asked for a "Stated Value" policy. They asked for photos and asked a lot of questions, but within 2 weeks I had coverage.

Hey All,

If you have a Street Legal SRA Atom, Hagerty insurance will not insure you.

Rally is where I went, and they had me covered with the same level of coverage as I have with my Ford F150 for about 200 bucks less per year. No Track use, and 6k annual Milage limit tho.
