smileys disappeared

Running Vista on a new PC ....Grrrr.................. and all of a sudden the smileys arn't displaying - instead there is a message saying downloading picture//////including the word smiley but even when this is finished the smileys are not there -I'm SAD. Any ideas?

;ps the smileys  once the download message finishes are just red boxes with x's

Try using a different browser,like firefox (Mozilla)  Vista sucks   (So does Internet Explorer)

Yup Vista certainly is temperamental- failed to boot, failed to update to SP2, screensaver didn't work etc.- now  all fixed after much messing about , as are the smileys, which are now OK .......with no intervention at all......WEIRD

I insisted my new Dell come with XP Pro instead of Vista. If they could not do it,I said I would not buy it. Funny how they made it happen.

Windows 7 is supposed to be the dogs danglies, we shall see.................oh and the smileys are gone again?????

Try Firefox. I really like it over IE.

Windows 7, IS Vista. It took Microsoft something like 10 years to get Vista out? Do you really think they could roll a new system out in just 2 years that wasn't firmly entrenched in the one that came before it? Better to just think of it as Vista SP2. Then again, W7 may still be a couple of years before you see it. Aim low.

Vista was late to market due to ......

They started working on Windows 7 5 years after they started Vista, it's being delivered on time, - hence 2 years after Vista went retail.

It looks a good product.

Smiley's work but I can't upload files through vista, I select a small document file but it simply won't upload  even tough I've disabled my firewall, any thoughts?

Yeah right Bruce, I've certainly used up my patience with this new PC but seriously posted no probs with XP now this???

Weird, sorry to be a bore but as you can see I can post photos from the gallery but NOT from photobucket or upload files from the PC like I used to?????




VISTA, or incomplete software as I get a red X in photobucket uploads but nothing from the file attachment function?
