Forum downtime - 10:00 - 12:00 (GMT) 23rd Nov 2007
Hi all,
Our hosting company is planning on migrating this forum and the gallery over to a new server tomorrow so the expected downtime is between 10am and noon (GMT) on Friday 22nd November 2007. I'll probably just put a notification message on the forum stating that works in progress.
Hopefully it will go reasonably smoothly - more likely it probably won't but I guess we'll see.
Once it's done, expect some DNS issues for a couple of days although we'll do our best to minimise these as much as possible and I plan to put a redirect on the current server for anyone whose DNS server is cacheing things too aggressively.
Apologies in advance for any problems caused.
Cheers, Ross.

Okay, a few glitches but the server migration has now happened. There's bound to be some people who have problems accessing the forum at the new location until DNS updates take place but I'll be adding a redirect page asap.
Cheers, Ross.

One things that's going to cause a few issues for a few days until the DNS changes have settled down is that until your own local DNS has updated, then you will get here by way of a redirect. As a result of that the browser cookies may not work correctly requiring you to log-in again (and possibly other minor issues I guess). There's nothing I can do on that I'm afraid.
Please note that any forum pages bookmarked under atomclub.myzen.co.uk will be no good as that address will vanish in the next couple of weeks - it's just a temporary stopgap until we know that DNS updates are all okay.
Cheers, Ross.

None of the images and stylesheets are working for me. Looks nasty.

Hmmm, I've no idea on this I'm afraid at the moment.
Anyone that's having this problem, please first of all try a page refresh, and then try clearing any cached files and restarting your browser. It's either cached pages or some kind of reference to the stylesheet/theme that's reliant a URL and so it will fix itself as DNS updates take place.
Cheers, Ross.

Ah yep, I think it was the second issue - that should be fixed now I think.
The forum's configuration isn't making the migration as easy as it should have been really.... bloody computers.

Okay, everyone will probably find that the forum uses the temporary URL of 'atomclub.myzen.co.uk' for a few days.
Next week, I'll try switching it to use the correct 'forum.atomclub.com' URL by which time everyone's DNS should have updated.
Cheers, Ross.

It seems to have wiped the link from your profile so I tried to relink and got this message

It also seems some photos have been lost see this thread

Is this only a temporary issue??
