Spell check - where is it?

Post by Alec » Fri Jul 13, 2007 10:57 am

Has the Spell Check option been turned off?

If it has can it be turned back on again?

Use Firefox instead. It has a built in spell checker like Microsoft Word.

Just tried this one and it seems OK so I'll give it a try.  :tu:

There's a spell check built into Safari on the Mac. Well actually, it's across the entire system and works in all the apps so you only have to train one dictionary.

Flame On! :)

I've looked into this, it seems like an update to the PHP version on the server itself has disabled the spell checker in the forum.

So, unfortunately no spell checker - sorry!

Cheers, Ross.

No worries because I followed AtomFun's recommendation and loaded the Google Toolbar Spell Check, which is much better anyway as it uses REAL English instead of Colonial English.  ;)

No, sorry, it's a change to the server platform the forum's running on and I don't have any control over that although I will mention it to the people that do.

Spell checkers make people lazy anyway.

This has been discussed before on a number of occasions resulting in a number of suggestions for alternative ways to spell check.
