Highly Experience AAE driver instructor may come to AtomFest

Post by 1965Cobra427 » Fri Aug 07, 2009 3:45 pm

Driver Education
We will be offering a basic driver training course for everyone at AtomFest. This course will be mandatory for all those with no previous track experience with their Atoms. It will include classroom, lead-follow and limited in-car training. The cost of this instruction is included in your participation fee. In the case of many Atom owners, the very best way for them to get more out of their cars and therefore get more out of the â??AtomFest Experienceâ?? is via some good, Atom-specific driving instruction.

For those who want to take their instruction to the next level, consider the following-

Keith McIntosh has been the Chief Instructor for all of the Ariel Atom Experience events.  Heâ??s a very experienced instructor having taught/still teaching for numerous well established professional racing schools.  But perhaps more relevantly, heâ??s spent a great deal of time in Atom 2s and with Atom 2 AAE clients.  The Atom does have its share of â??quirksâ?? and getting comfortable with those characteristics is the key to getting real fun & enjoyment out of driving the car on the track, as you well know.  Keithâ??s only passion is teaching high performance driving and heâ??s a consummate professional at it.

"I can speak highly of Keith as a very capable and easy-going instructor whoâ??d fit in very well with AtomFest.  We consistently get compliments us on Keithâ??s attitude, personality and capabilities from our AAE clients, including at the most recent events that we ran here last week for a good cross section of experienced & less experienced drivers."    - Dave Goadby, President- TMI Autotech Inc.

In order for Keith to commit to the event, he will need some confirmation that his expenses, etc. will be covered by instructional fees. If this is of interest to you, please contact Dave Goadby who is in regular contact with Keith. If enough folks sign up, Keith will become a new addition to AtomFest for 2009! Let's hear from you!
