Cattle stampede update * Last week at Infineon they said the previous weekend they had 77 cars in one group/session.. I'd rather take the 405 at rush hour.. on Friday.. in the rain..

Try 101 Formula Fords on track at one time to race!
In two weeks the 40th anniversity of the FF in the SCCA will be held at Road America. So far we have 215 entries. The Regional/Club Ford race has more than 100 entries and the National is up to 90+.
This is a 4 mile track, but still....100 open wheeled cars on track at the same time will be wild. The first corner will be interesting!

Sorry guys, was thinking about it To support our Ariel rep in his try at that track (go Positron!) . Will definitely be on my list to see at some point, sounds like a great track. Looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight. Brief pit stop at Sonic and Another hour and a half and i should be home.

Had a great day with seven 30 minute sessions. Had a great run with Spanky.
We had the whole session to ourselves. Great track, makes track #10 for this car.

I just got done washing all the grasshoppers off the car. They were everywhere. While I was at it, I pulled the wheels off to flip-flop my brake pads and found a couple of grasshoppers on the inside of each wheel and even one inside the brake caliper. The car smelled bad.
Had a good time though - driving that is. Positron has only one seat in his Atom, so when he gives his wife rides back from pit lane to their pick-ups, she has to ride side-saddle on the frame bar. She has the Queen's parade wave down pat. Enjoyed that & wish I had my camera out.

Holly cow, ya'll need to figure out how to can grasshopper as a superglue. That stuff wouldn't hardly come off. Thanks for the tip not to wait until we got home. Had a whole bucket of them after I washed them off could have gone fishin'.
I'll forward pics the team photographer took when get back.
Crisis was averted before we left, found a trailer tire had seperated and started to bulge. Was lots easier to change in the paddock rather than I35.

Grasshopper and probably a lot of other bugs guts will etch plastic (windshield bubbles) and even paint if left on too long.
I am glad you found the bad trailer tire when you did. Thanks for coming.

Leaving Tucson this morning, barring no mechanicals should be home tonight. I'll get some up this weekend.
