Parking brake adjustment....

Post by maverick1 » Tue Feb 17, 2009 7:46 pm

I adjusted my parking brake yesterday, but was a little confused by the manual.
The manual says to "take a 1/4 in allen wrench and turn the internal hex bolt in the center of the large end of the parking brake application lever clockwise until the wheel cannot be turned by hand then turn the allen bold counter-clockwise about 1/16 of a turn. At this point the parking brake is initialized and the cables can be adjusted"....whatever this means.
I just ended up adjusting the two adjustment screws at the back of the car near the brake assembly as shown in the pics. Is what I did ok?
cheers

what kind of excuse is that?  You mean it looks dirty in the light?  If it is pitch black it is completely clean.   bah... ;D

Just take some of this...

Add some work with a brush and a hose and you are good to go...

Being a detailer aside... there is a difference between caring if it is dirty, and caring if it is clean.
