Norm, if you take a look at the pics I posted....it's almost a complete match.  just saying  I think I agree with honda/acura part.

Not a match, the shift cable attachments are completely different

different but similar......especially the plastic part at the right hand of Bolus shot.......unless that's on all shifter assembly's the horseshoe part

research a honda short throw shifter that you guys like and I will see if someone has it locally where we can see if it fits

Tom just called me on another matter and I asked him what the shifter was.  He said that the shifter is definitely a Honda, but, he does not know year or application.

emailed Jeff at Perrin performance to see if I can drop it by.  He sells some short throat shifters.

When in my teenage years would make our short shifters taking a hacksaw to the shift lever and re-tapping the end for the knob. Could make it as short as you liked then

this doesn't achieve the shortness of throw or the tighter feel you get with a true short throw shifter, you need to change the pivot point and clean up the slop to achieve the goals in hand for this endeavor.....IMO
