They said they can do the same thing for the F35 transmission and they claim the upgrade can withstand 600 ftlbs of torque on the stage 3
They said prices would be the same too
transmission upgrade option
Re: transmission upgrade option
I would be very carefull about transmission upgrades.
As you know, I purchased a Quaife dog gear kit from Autotech. I have over $7500 into it and it's a pile of broken pieces in a box. I have had to remove my engine 3 times because of it. Autotech started of with a good story, but so far yet to do or say anything of value. Quaife told me they dont even sell the kit I bought any more because of problems. Yet, Autotech had no problem telling me it was stronger than the OEM box and better for my application and taking my money.
I trashed the Quaife gears in one track day. Since i have put the OEM box back in, I have had 3 hard track days and it's like a swiss watch. No problems. So these aftermarket gearkit punters are full of sh1t half the time. Keep your OEM stuff till you bust it then move with caution.

Re: transmission upgrade option
I'm looking at options just because of your story. There are cobalt guys that have 500hp cars with stock transmissions doing just fine so I wont be upgrading unless it breaks. But I'm sharing the options as I come across them. Good luck with your transmission issues.
