Atom Owners manual - by owners/for owners.

I was reading, with some interest, about the need to replace rod ends, and the discussion as to how often. I won't be anywhere near a factory for servicing (... well, about 1500 miles), so will be doing the servicing, mostly, by myself.
I was wondering if an informal "manual" might be put together here, for all the various parts that need servicing or replacing, such as rod ends. Members suggestions about service intervals on various parts that the factory may not cover. The rod ends seems to be one of the more serious topics, that could have safety implications.
Something like that would certainly make my life easier. It would not only give me a 'heads up' on how to keep the car properly serviced, but also allow me to budget for some of the more expensive items.

The Brammo manual is a good start.  Especially the maintenance schedules starting page 54

If driven mostly on the street, then the rod ends are really the only thing different than the maintenance for a regular street car.  I notice that the manual does not mention them.  But good to replace every 3000 miles and an alignment shop should be able to do it.

If tracked, then the maintenance schedule needs to be more frequent.  Anything else you can always ask here since someone has probably already done it.

There's a newer manual (even though it says "2006 model year"). I've put a copy up at http://www.atomacrossamerica.org/ArielU ... 070925.pdf

That version does mention the rod ends (in response to the failure I had).

I'll be changing out my rod ends when it gets a bit warmer (right now there's about 8" of snow on the ground and my garage is unheated). I'll take some pictures when I change them and add them to my DIY section at http://www.tmk.com/atom
