Ok, I pulled the trigger, and purchased the Snow performance kit......I'll keep y'all updated as I receive it and install it and the new tune and orginal pulley and re-dyno it.

If you need a pre-drilled intake for the nozzle let me know :)

ha, sure why not, you're not going to need your's anymore right!  are you going to use the side intake via a straight pipe?

I'd rather not have to make a threaded hole in the intake if I can skip out on it and have one that's already done.

I guess we'll need to see if the holes are the same size/thread type right or are they all the same?

I think Bolus is referring to the plastic intake tube.
I had mine installed in the aluminum intake manifold. Bad idea.
I used the brake booster manifold port.
Don't do it. Water will atomize better before the butterfly.
Also the maniflod port produces a vacuum on the water injection nozzle.
The WI check valve doesn't like a vacuum being pulled on it also.
You also don't want the water to be sprayed onto a hot manifold, only 3 inches away from the nozzle.
It causes the water to "pool" and run down the side, is what I found.
Safest bet is to mount the nozzle in the plastic tube, before the butterfly.

fishkiller, thanks, that was always the plan....air intake tube, not manifold, but I appreciate the heads up because you never know what I could have been planning.

Ok, after reading the thread about removing the seat, I'm not so sure I'm going to mount the bottle and pump behind the seat anymore.  Also, I'm not sure about mounting the bottle in the same place as fishkiller, and my pump is possibly too big to mount where Bolus' and Fishkiller's are mounted.  Also, the directions specifically state a few items.
1:  nozzle must be highest point of system
2:  resevoir must be mounted below nozzle (not sure how much or if the whole bottle needs to be below the nozzle)
3:  inlet for pump must be below lowest point of resevoir.

that being said, mounting the bottle in the back, means it's not below the nozzle, and mounting the pump next to the ecu means it's also not below the bottle, therefore it could cause problems with the functionality of the system.

So here's a few thoughts.

I can mount the bottle in the trunk...the trunk is too shallow at the moment, but, if I cut the bottom out, and re-glass a new lower bottom, it will work, and be bleow the nozzle.

This is a pic to show there's room to make the bottom lower by quite a bit.

And mount the pump here, where the factory first mounted the fire extinguishers...seems like a decent place...can't be kicked, because of the foot rest, and should fit just fine.

Any other suggestions...At least one good thing, is that my nose cone is being replace, so if I screw up this one by cutting the bottom out of the trunk, I already have a new one to replace it.

Here's the bottom cut out

And here's the part that was removed, I will fiberglass it back in on the final version, but, since this nose cone is trash already I see no need to do it on this one.

Here's the bottle from the bottom side, and then the approximate depth that the new bottom will be when it's refiberglassed back in.

And here's what it will look like from the top when you take the front body panel off.

Here it is back in the car...I cut some slits in the fiberglass as well so that it could be mounted flush against the wall of the nose cone.

Two questions.

1. What seats do you have?
The Sparco seats have 4 bolts holding them down, and remove in less than 5 minutes.

2. How much does that resevior hold, and did you consider using a smaller or squarer one?

1:  I have the Sparcos....are you flipping serious........damn it, I read the instructions on how to remove the Recaros, and it said 3 hours...so I didn't even try...that being said, the location I picked is actually better for this system anyways.

2:  I have the 2qt bottle, I just used what the kit came with, it was easy enough to modify the nose cone, so I didn't worry about the bottle being too big.

Why is it easier to remove the Sparco's than the Recaro's, what's the procedure?

I like the bottle in the "trunk". Why bother to glass the bottom back on?

On this nose cone I'm definitely not going to, I was thinking of Maybe doing it on the new nose cone, however, I might not because with the placement, it might actually hit the front bulkhead, if I glassed it back on, the way it is with no bottom, it fits perfectly.

here's a few pics of my installed nozzle, where the water hose and MAF wire go through the firewall, and where the pump is installed.

it's 30 and snowing outside..................too cold for a test drive.

It's supposedly going to be 60 tomorrow, and I'm supposed to take it in to the exhaust shop so he can get started with the fab up.

Being that I have no idea how to tune the VC-maf, it probably won't work 100% efficiently until the exhaust is done and we can get the dyno tuning done with the new ECU.
