SAE markings on Brammo Atoms
SAE markings on Brammo Atoms
Do Brammo Atoms have SAE Markings on the lenses for the headlights, side markers and tail lights?
Also, is there a fuel inlet restrictor, an air injection system, a thermostatic air cleaner, and EGR valve???
Sounds silly, but I have to "check" box some paperwork.
And are the mirrors day/night/... lol, I doubt it.

Thanks 427...
you guys have no idea ......the paperwork!!!!
I have made good headway in some respects. Looking like I just need to add the "Windsheild/ a wiper and 12v defroster". That along with SAE ratings on the lenses, a self canceling indicator deal, fenders that cover 15% froward and 75% rearward of the wheel centerline and a somewhat properly located vin tag and I think Im in business.
Of course I may have to deal with the OBD codes too.. we shall see.
Nothing worth having comes easy.

No SAE markings on the stop, turn and running lights, Yes on headlights. No fuel inlet restrictor (will accept the old leaded gas size filler nozzle) Yes on EGR, AIS is not visible, but may be present as well as TAC.
Hope that helps some...

Re: SAE markings on Brammo Atoms
Looks like I need to get with a glass etcher or printer and make some SAE labels! Or change the lights...darn!
Re: SAE markings on Brammo Atoms
I can't see the EGR being an issue, most newer engines - including every EcoTec I've seen - did away with the old-tech system that that acronym applies to in favor of better fuel systems and improved engine management calibration.
Changing the lights shouldn't be TOO bad.
Self canceling indicators.... Well, a bit of work, but a swap from another car shouldn't be terrible.
Air injection system? yeah - they're called intake valves, lol! Seriously though, it sounds as though they're looking for things that don't really apply to most new motors.
Thermostatic air cleaner? I cannot even guess at what they're looking for there. A catalytic converter? Or do they require that your air filter be heated, lol?!
Day/night mirrors.... Since there is no inside rearview mirror in the traditional sense, this wouldn't apply. The side mirros can certainly be angled differently if you need to move them....
Fuel inlet restrictor won't be hard to come up with. Though again, I don't see why that's still in the law, as it's been I don't know how long since I saw a fill station with the old nozzle type!
