"Rams Horn" Brammo headers

Post by gofaster » Fri Sep 08, 2006 2:38 am

In Mr. Woolery's video, I saw some cool stainless "ram's horn" style headers. I had never seen these before.

Does anyone have a photo of these on their car?

Someone else probably has better pics but you can catch a glimpse of them on the ariel atom site:

That ram horn style is standard with everything from unpolished stainless to ceramic coated, right?

That's right.  (Although I think polished is the only way to go.)

Here's mine during assembly:

Don't forget they're hidden behind the silencer...

Guess you could always replace the muffler and cat with a straight pipe. That would clean it up a little. ;D

How about a see-through muffler? Made of plexiglass or something that won't melt...

Transparent aluminum anyone?

For those who like noise, how about removing the cat & muffler, and replacing it with a "stinger" exhaust (straight tip that just angles straight back)?

Isn't that what I'd just posted 2 posts earlier? :) I think your new Atom ownership has you going so quick, driving around, you don't slow down enough anymore. Man that must be nice.... :) Just send me the car for awhile so you can catch up properly. ;)
