I'm lost.. so what was changed that needed to be unchanged to get back to normal?

I set his car up a few months back. It was set as follows:
-1* camber
0.080" toe out.

I checked the car when he brought it over and it was 0* camber and 0 toe on the right side. The left was the same as it was set up before. So the wheels were removed and all the suspension parts inspected for any kind of visible damage or bending. Nothing was bent or tweaked that could be seen or measured. I reset the settings back to what they were and it seemed to drive just fine. No idea why it would change like that and I was sure it had to be some bent or tweaked part. I could see nothing. So I sent him on his way and told him to keep it below 60mph from now on and he will be fine ;D

HI! New to this site but i have recently been given 2 atoms to set up in my motorsport workshop!
I specialise in formula fords and the set us and suspention design are identical as amoderday formula ford!
i know exactly what will of happened
The steering rack will off done one of two things either moved in its secureing brackets or the brakets could of moved slightly!
this will off happened when you went off the road and held the wheel tight as it took more force than usual so the weakest point moved!
as for the splins slipping like the otherguys before me said almost immposible!
i do high speed passenger rides for one of the biggest experiance companys in the uk in 320bhp charged atoms and these are extreamly easy cars to set up and when right become an awesome car to drive!
I have had years of experiance with this type of suspention and if you have any questions please just ask!
as for the odd car comming out of the factory with a little toe out at the rear! although it will make it a little more skkitish at high speed in a striaght lline a little toe out is a great way to dial out powerout understeer!
But as atoms are not renound for this fault i cant see them putting it on knowingly!

Ewen

Welcome to the site. Where are you based?

You may want to start a separate thread to let a wider audience hear of what you do; might get a bit lost within this one.

Cheers, Hedge

Hi
I am in Doncaster south yorkshire
i was told to put a post on hear about what i do as a member of this site who met you all at cadwell park earlyer this year said it would be a good idea!
We have a full motorsports workshop that does everything!
the only two things we outsource is carbon composite work and cnc machineing but i have great guys who do that for me!
as i said before we specialise in single seaters and we have in the past made everything from wishbones , uprights to complete cars.
I would love to get more Atoms in my workshop as for me there so easy to work on and set up!
Plus the guy who i have just done a starter motor for i saved him a fortune!
he had been quoted 8/12 hours labour as they wanted to remove the engine to do it!
3 hours later new starter fitted with engine in place! was extreamly tricky and required some newly made tools  but saved the owner nearly £800.
and it still has the same 1 year warranty the dealer gives!
i am also able to stamp service history books as all staff are fully qualified and O.E Spec parts are used .
i know there are alot of compitant owners out there who can do alot of work themselfs but if anybody wishs to just fire questions between myself and my contacts im sure i can help alot fix minor tweeks online if you want to set up some online techy thing im happy to help as hopefully from that some work my apper!

Regards Ewen!
