Mid January should be good. I am still hoping for the car back by Christmas, but that looks less likely by the day.  All the parts are now in hand. Just need the exhaust finished on fit up, and out comes the engine. Biggest delay on the engine build is the head getting shipped to Endyn. All the other engine work is local. Christmas is still posibble!
I am looking forward to many track days in 08. Looking for the right enclosed trailer for my needs right now for a January purchase.

This just in...the sound God's smiled favorably on the patient - 87.6 dB flat out 3rd & 4th gear with 21 disks.. I'll add more until I get to 91.

How it sounds..

Spoke with Supertrapp (which I should have done first) and they suggested that I run 30-35 disks on a forced induction car, so I'll be stacking another package of 12 for the mid Jan trip.

Now let's all have good weather thoughts..

30-35?  Isn't that gonna defeat the purpose of the sound reduction...aren't you gonna be too loud again?

I was just over with poot can and no disks, so I'm hoping that with the radial deflection of the disks I can go a large number of disks to minimize backpressure. I was getting some backpressure with 21 Image  so I'm going large at first. If'n I still blow sound I'll take a couple out at a time till I get run out. You can ask for 3 sound checks plus the three black flags per day, so in four sessions I should be able to dial it in.
