Disconneced Connector?
Disconneced Connector?
While inspecting my front brake lines today, I noticed a rogue connection. It is located below the battery box and directly above the heat exchanger fan. I have no idea what it goes to... but I can't imagine Brammo would create this connection without a purpose. And, it's two female connections. Any ideas? The tag on the connector says "SIDF RFPF AT... LH N/S"

Re: Disconneced Connector?
Now, if I could only find a reliable power source for 1.21 gigawatts.
Re: Disconneced Connector?
there is also an disconnected connector back by the ECU in my car. I'm sure something cool would happen if I could hook it up
Re: Disconneced Connector?
Perhaps there for options like accumulator, or something you/I/We don't have.

Must be for the muffler valve then.

On the UK car that one is a 12v power outlet as is at least one up front by the battery.
Also all the unused connectors have a cover on them to seal and protect them like the one below.

Re: Disconneced Connector?
Just in case someone goes looking for mating options, they are known as Packard or GM WeatherPak connectors. NAPA used to cary the individual pins, gaskets and plastic housings.
You can get all these and more from GM directly. All the P/N's (including pictures of them) can be found in Packard Electric's catalog. It contains all GM P/N's. Call for your free catalog: 1-800-PACKARD
Note the Silicone Seal, Terminals (pins) and Housings are all sold separately. Here's a exploded diagram without any of the terminals.
